not much to show but will add to
As the car only has 41k and is completely original I wont be going crazy or doing anything that isnt reversible back to standard
So firstly was to preserve what I already have so armed with a compressor, gun and big tin of waxoyl I have coated the underside, arch liners out and coated full arches and wings. Will remove doorcards and coat inside the panels next weekend I have spare

Next was more for security than anything else so fitted a period aftermarket wheel and snap off boss
Looks the part but relay 53 is clicking like crazy every time I steer and despite cleaning and regreasing before fitting the new box I've got nasty noises

Next on the list is full service as it has the original fan belt I'm not really trusting the cambelt

All there and original but the seat material has actually fallen apart so is currently covered in Wilkinsons £7 covers at the moment.
But nothing seats, matts and a hoover wont cure

Not a good place to put your axel stands on the front, that bit of metal is hollow and easily crunched, I place mine on the rear wishbone mount, just in front of the anti roll bar and use some old cardboard on top of the stand to stop marking the paint work.
If you do need to place the axel stands where you have put them, if you are removing the wishbones then place a long bit of wood to spread out the load.

Not much to report really, all went to plan apart from the leads not feeling like they fitted the plugs quite as well as the old set up but it ran like clock work so must just be paranoia.
Cambelt, tensioner, water pump and fan belt next.
But did manage to fit a missing waistline trim and fit these beauties, back end sits quite nicely but front badly needs bringing down to earth

If so you can very carefully push the metal cap up the ht lead so it makes a better connection.

The ones I fitted were 7mm bosch leads with the larger holes but the rubber boots seemed really long and quite tight

Allegedly only done a few thousand miles but looked scruffy. My old middle box was blowing anyway so it needed changing.
Decided to paint the full system to match the satin black back box, so rubbed it all back and sprayed it all with VHT satin.
Here is a pic of the original system and the jetex as I received it, the right is how now

While under the car I decided the original down pipes would let the rest of the exhaust down so this got the same treatment

Armed with new rubbers and clamps I aim to fit it this weekend, looking for to hearing it running

I now have a completely different front end and car is sitting on its Prosport coilovers.
185/45R15's on the front are looking a little lost so going to space out a bit and lower slightly more
Next job is to fit my all red rear lights and Intergrate the fog light into one of the reverse lamps

How's the Prosports working out for you?
Interesting tyre size choice on the front. Do they clear the collars on the coilovers ok? My 195's are very close and I have to keep the front end high just to miss the collar and tyre meeting……
