Bought this car just over a month ago

Original Van
Porsche Grey
2.0 16v ABF Conversion
AP Coilovers
G60 Steels







With winter fast approaching the car will be garaged and slowly having some work done it

* Powerflex bushes all round as they're starting to perish
* Rear brake disc conversion
* H&R coilovers as the AP's are a bit bouncy on the front end
* Engine bay tidy up

Will try my best to keep this build thread up to date for you guys Thanks for looking

It was on ebay twice and sold but no one paid up for it!

i was lucky enough to see it advertised on Instagram and i had to go and see it in person!

Dan who i bought it from works for G23 engineering who are well known in the VW scene so i know it was well looked after

Spent the whole of Friday detailing the mk1

Clayed
Washed
3M Fast Cut Plus follwed by 3M Polish
Chemical Guys Jet Seal 109 - 2 coats
PoorBoys Diamond White Glaze
Dodo Juice Light Fantastic wax

Cutting Pad was a bit dirty to say the least



Only got a few pictures of it while i was working on it as i wanted to go into London and get some snaps but the heavens decided to open and rain on me!!!



Really impressed with the end results! Got soo many light scratches out and the obvious swirls marks around the body

Got to love a mirror finish 

Non project related but I'm pleased for my twin sister picking up her new Golf GT TDI today, it's a lovely piece of kit but who needs heated seats, electric windows and power steering anyway

Nice! I did not even know Golf vans existed. Probably never imported to the U.S.

Any photos of the inside showing the cargo area?

I am also interested in knowing more about the rear disc brake conversion.

Back again guys after being tucked away for the past 6 months!!! 
Had a disaster start getting it out the garage and to my dads yard to be checked over.
Distributor was knackered and was full of oil so wouldn't tick over and my alley rad popped its core so all had to replaced 🙈

Update on the golf while I'm still  waiting for another rad to be fabricated….
H&R anti roll bars were fitted (rear was an absolute pig)
Power flex bushes all round which was surprisingly easy! 
New rocker cover gasket 
New distributor 
Clutch and lightened flywheel fitted and gave it a good service before it goes off for a fresh MoT for the summer 

Itching to get behind the wheel and to attend a few shows so hopefully won't be much longer 

love this colour and very nice van. Would love a van 1 day
