Small white plastic clip on locking mechanism

Hi guys,

Was fitting central locking to my cabby over the weekend but have managed to break the small white plastic clip that joins the door lock pin to the locking mechanism. I checked on vagcat today and got the part number (171837080) but my local VW garage informed me that the part became obsolete in June this year and they don't have any stock. Tried a couple of different dealers on the off chance that they still carried stock but no joy.

I then tried VW Heritage but they said it's a special order item and will take 4 weeks to arrive, not good when car is in drive way and can't be locked without a lot of mucking around.

Any one got this part floating around?

Pretty sure ive seen some on Ebay? This was a few weeks back

None on ebay at the minute. Have ordered a mk2 one from VW as apparently these can be adapted to fit.
