hello I'm new to the site but own a golf clipper karmen on a uk g plate i have owned the car for several years
just looking for some info really
it got 38k
original seats and roof
roof cover
original sterio
original paint
original bill of sale
and teddy bear wheels lol
gonna post a picture also was just looking for info on valuing it, shows to go to, and what not
i was tempted to revamp it i.e. repainting and stuff but i have been informed this would effect selling price
any advice or comments would be lovely

Welcome to the forum, that is a very low mileage car you have there.
Whilst Cabby values haven't taken off like the tin tops, I think they are sure to follow them at sometime and as with tin tops and the Mk2 Golf originality will make a bigger difference I think. So no don't paint it unless it's got some damage.
Your not alone in having the teddy bear wheels
fonzooorooo
has a blue cabby with the same wheels.
We would all love to see some more pictures and find out where you are from.

hi I'm new have a golf clipper karmen 1989
Welcome aboard mate.
Cabby prices have risen of late and low mileage standard cars are hard to find.
Ronal teddies again bit of a rarity. Nice to have something different.
Id just add that all the cabbies were made at the Karmann Factory and there isn't a particular model known as the Karmann edition as others have quoted before.
The Karmann wing badges are a tribute to the manufacturer who made these for Volkswagen.
VW didn't want to build the cabby at Wolfsburg alongside the Tin tops because they worried it would affect the production of the tinnies.
For me it's roof down, windblokker in place.. Tunes on and big smile…

Welcome. Car looks great…. I can't recommend the teddies though - I reckon ours come to life in the night and break stuff; engine, gearbox, engine again, brakes, engine again etc etc etc. Haha.

Nice cabby with low mileage,
Not a big fan of the teddy bear wheel, think it be better on original to finish her off nicely, lol fonzooroo, you make them sound like chucky dolls lol
