I go to a fortnightly meet on a monday night at the toby if you guys fancy coming along?

Future plans - well, not many really. The drivers seat needs the usual bolstor repair, then I might treat it to a rebuild and respray over winter.

Alright chaps, Id be up for a meet and some advice, Ive just moved to Chelmsford and also acquired a mk1 cabby off a mate of mine. The engine seems to be pingink/pinking however and some advice off someone with more experience of these cars than me would be welcome. Hope to see some of you soon :)

There Monday meet is fortnightly at the toby carvery in Colchester.

There is also a meet this Thursday at Boreham.  If you google Essex VW meet on facebook it should come up :)

Might try the Essex Vdub night in Thursday weather permitting?
