Very nice looking MK5, love the stance, wheels, interior - well all of it really!
Looking forward to the MK1 pics. How much work does it need?

I took the carpets out last week and by the look of it it needs front floors, some work to the sills and the indent for the fuel cap.
The boot, rear floor, arches, chassis legs, in the scuttle etc are all good, so not too concerned.
Also managed to get a pair of VW Heritage full floors, a pair of sills and rear inner and outer arches from someone local to me for £100, so I should have almost everything to do the work to it

Wow that's a bit of a bargain on the panels Greig!!
What's the inner arch tub like behind the filler neck area?

That MK5 is amazing, are you going to do something equally tasteful to the Mk1?

Thanks again guys, I'll get pics up tomorrow.
Richard, the car will be restored and be to the same standard (i hope) but just deciding what route to go down. I'm thinking either completely standard, as I dont think you see many completely original cars on the road, or lightly fettled with:- a few period tsr bits and bobs, koni adjustables and a set of p slots.
Time will tell I suppose
