Newbie Saying hello to all Got me a Mk1 Project

Hi guys new to the Site been in the old skool Fo** scene for a long time and built some very special cars ( see attached Photos soz there For*s ) Ive Known Mr Maurice Reeves for a long time and have always been tempted to build a mk1 golf like his so now i have got one i best get started

Just purchased a Mk1 1600 Gti that iam going to build over the next few years , got lots of plans just putting them into place hope you like []

Yep Thats the one that got away sold that two years ago for ?9000 genuine Mk1 Rs2000 with 39,000 miles from new total geuine and unrestored was locked in a barn for 15 years ,

The Escorts look lovely (I had an Mk1 Fiesta XR2 in a former life), then you scroll down and see the Mk1 and they fade away. Sorry but the Golf gets my vote, beautiful.

There is a guy who lives in next village to me who has a red MK1 escort with a rover V8 in it wide arches and all that and he has a white MK2 with a cosworth engine in also with wide arches - as you are big into that scene I bet you know them ??!?!?

and he took me out in the MK2 with the cosworth engine in it - 360 bhp I think - awesome…speedo moved as fast as rev counter  8)
