Newbie from the Highlands
I hope you guys don't mind me tagging along -I just bought an '88 MK1 Golf Caddy pick up (so not strictly a Golf, don't hate me) but I'm hoping to pick up all the pointers which are similar with the 1.6 petrol engine (mines had a Weber 32/34 fitted) etc etc.
I'm also glad to see there's a couple of folk in the regions part representing the North of Scotland. I'm originally from Linlithgow and up and down every now and again but live up in Culloden now so if there's anyone or anything happening up my way I'd be more than keen to tag along and get the crack.
I've already spoken to Richard at Crazyquiffs as I've ordered a few parts, I'm starting a tidy up on it and looking through the forums this looks like a great scene to be in. I'm kind of new to anything outside of Jap cars but just couldn't bring myself to buy a new VW, rather have something I can tinker with, so long as it runs well!
Sorry I haven't any pics to show for the moment.
Cheers,
Richard

Scotalnd region has really taken off lately. You'll be in good company from the lads(and ladies) I've seen in the regions section.
Stick up a few photo's and start your own project section when you get a minute mate.
Thanks for joining what is probably the best mk1 site on the web!!
