Thx for the welcome guys. Im really looking forward to this project and I'm out at the garage every night getting on with bits and bobs - it will take ages but that will only add to the fun.
@ Brad & early-1800, great that you guys are close by, are there local meets?

That all sounds good. Original fabric you wont generally find but the fact it is hounds tooth not velour may make it easier to get a like for like.

, oh my that is really lovely!! Is that Miami or Florida blue? Also, your tail lights are different to those on mine (white on the inside), are they from different swallowtail models or are yours tinted? Jonathan

They are called "postie" rear lights ,early swallows had them….not sure of the "postie" ref think something to do with German postal service vehicles?!
