newbie asks any invernesshire dubbers

hi,im stuart from inverness and i just found out about this site, i have owned about 13 mk1 gti's over the last 14 years and currently have 3, 1 82(x)1800 fast road engine daily runner, 1 white campaign with 97k gen miles undergoing full bare shell resto and 1 y reg non sunroof which i cant decide what to do with it.is there any other mk1 heads up and around inverness, saw a tasty helious blue a street away from me and no idea who's it is.

Hi Stuart and welcome! I'm not sure to be honest. The only one I can think of off top of my head in Scotland is 'littlekev' in Aberdeen but he's not about now as sold his MK1 :cry:

Sure you'll find someone though and please get some pics up of your MK1's for us to drool over! :wink:

i sold a black mk1 1800 to a kevin just outside aberdeen CLE203Y. i heard he has now sold it on with ats cups attached to it.wonder if its the same guy.

No it wasn't me. I dont recognise the no either.
Im still on the lookout for another mk1 so you never know i might frequent the mk1 forum again soon. Im running a mk3 gti 16v just now so not much point coming on here often.
There are a few mk1's in the area, best bet is www.eastsidevw.co.uk few guys from up north log on there

Not bad thanks, leaving my job today as vw aftersales manager and starting work in a couple of weeks at the local power station as a plant operator. Totally different job to what i've been doing but i've had enough of taking grief from customers for problems that are out of my control…
So im taking a 5 night trip to new york on thursday to chill out.
Hope everyone here is well, chrisb, crazy, dubboy,type17,  al mk1 etc etc…

Enjoy the trip, shame you'll lose your cheap source of parts for your cars! - but guess now your leccy bills will be lower!!
