Hi all, I picked up a 1983 cabriolet over the weekend, and i'm really loving it so far!

Body, chassis and paint look to be in really great condition. Top was replaced about 10 years ago.
it's got a few little issues, and needs some maintenance on the engine side.

the most concerning issue to me is the soft top. tow issues really.
I seem to have a small gap on the passenger side window. if i slam the passenger side door, the gap gets better.

Does anyone know if the doors droop over time?
should i have a fiddle with how that door is mounted/the latch location?

The other issue i have is the driver side latch for the soft top will pop open while driving if you hit some bumps.
I've taken a closer look at this and it looks like the "peg" of the latch is not going into the little pocket in the A frame. It just sort of bashes into it and the pocket seems to have been shaved a bit by the latch's peg. I have attached a few photos to show what i mean about it bashing into it.
*Edit* Couldn't attach photos. please see them here: https://imgur.com/a/UFTajQl
Anyone know any easy fixes for this? should i take that latch out and give it some TLC?
Am I able to move the bit that the latch goes into on the a frame back slightly?

my passenger side handle has a latch button, but the driver side does not. assuming this is normal? be nice if they both did.

the top frame does have some light surface rust in places, i've given it some oil on the obvious hinge points. is there a guide for this?

Cheers!

Hi,
it's best to get the car to someone with proper knowledge on the hoods etc, as there's many treason why you have issues. You are missing the lock collars for a start and its hard to tell what's happening from the photos.
I'm over in Derby, The East Midlands if you want to pop oiver.
Cheers
