New Member Intro - ElTel

Hi,
I'm Terry Guy from Bluntisham, Nr St Ives in Cambridgeshire, along with my long suffering wife Angie who says she is now the second woman in my life!
Our car is a Mk1 Series 2 first registered Aug 83, white, vgc with 63k on the clock.
We acquired her from an enthusiast who really loved the car, and were amazed by the condition of the vehicle.
It was a real pleasure to find this site dedicated to the Mk1.
Really impressed with the content and depth of info here.
We are hoping to make the meet at Gaydon 28 Aug.

I'm not alone then, I thought it was just me!

Welcome, oh no… your definately not alone on that one! my 'better' half gets really annoyed when I spend the weekend working on the Mk1 and I tell her 'you've had all week with me'  

I have the same moans from her indoors too…

I say "Why don't you come down the garage and help me - you might enjoy it", I then get the 'Do I look impressed' face!

I tried that one - thought I might have myself a 'gopher' to do all the tedious work… like flatting back no luck though although the girlfriend does wash and polish the C. Fortunately, we both own the mk1s so I can usually justify spending a lot of time on them by telling her how much in garage bills I have saved us .
