New In Polmont

Hello!
Have just bought a Black 1988 1.8 Gti (F181 PYF). I am keen to find out about any club activity in the Edinburgh area. Also can anyone reccomend a decent mechanic in the Edinburgh area who can help me get my wee car back to its former glory. (Will try to attach a photo of her) 8).
ps The buyers guide has been invaluable both when buying the car and deciding which jobs need doing first.

Anyway I'll cut out the crap jokes (for those who aren't from the area and are wondering what Im twittering on about Polmont, aswell as a place is also a young offenders institute.)

Have you been on to the Scottishvag.com website, there are a lot of members from around our neck of the woods who probably could help you out.  A few of them like me, frequent both forums.

Oright stu,yeah im up in edinburgh,just over in meadowbank,i aint no mechanic but always good to have a second head .Currently dropping a G60 into my MK1 so ive got a bit of mechanical knowlege.

Yeah I'm also in edinburgh, Hello by the way. I cant really help with the mechanic or about meets so i'm pretty much useless, would like to get a meet together, needing to get the car on the road first!
