New Girl

Hi Guys, I'v joined the Mk1 Owners Club in search for my new car, I have always wanted a Mk1 golf cabriolet since I was younger and have finally reached the position where I can afford one!
Any help with tracking down the perfect motor (preferably a Rivage) , will be really appreciated!

yep but she recently drove it back from france , put it up for sale and left it with a friend to sell for her.

ah right that might be worth a look then, I had ruled it out because of the France thing. Have found an immaculate Clipper which I'm hoping to view Saturday.. Fingers crossed!!

Been trawlin through classifieds and found this Rivage

Used cars for sale - PistonHeads UK

The mileage on the car is advertised at 55k and the owner has been told that there may have been a new engine and clock at some point but has no receipts to prove this.
There is other receipts though and service information, the advert is just a little confusing.
I just wanted any advice really on whether this car is worth considering or best left alone?

Any help would be great!
