new from north of scotland

Hi all, looking into buying a mk1 or maybe a mk2, see what comes up that's in good nick. thought I'd better get on here to get more info and possibly some help from you all if I end up with a nice wee mk1

Been a lot of golfs for sale in scot ads this last while.
There was a guy from Dingwall on one of our meets to drive over Glenshee. He had a black mk1 gti, maybe he would be near you? There's bazmk1 in Inverness who usually gets everyone together for the meets, he has a black gti as well.
I think the scottish vag have meets every month in Inverness and Elgin turn about too. I have never been to these but might be worth your while checking them out too?

is handy to know cos i.m no on the mainland often but could time it suit a meet, know Dingwall cos i worked a summer in Lairg once
