New, from Glasgow

Just bought a MK1 on Saturday so thought I'd join up.

I was delivering a customers car down to Manchester and seen this at the side of the road with a for sale sign 



I went as dropped off the car, and came back to view the golf, liked it and done the deal…



Got it back to Glasgow for a proper look over it, it came with a huge folder full of history going right back to its first service when it turned a year old



Still has the supplying dealer sticker on the window



Plan is to keep it and eventually put a more modern engine in it to make it enjoyable to drive daily and long distance.

Also want to respray it Candy White to match my Edition 30 Caddy



I also have another caddy, an older one…

Gerry, I do believe I spotted you heading South on the M74 one weeknight last week.  I passed a white cabby on my bike just at Uddingston, I slowed to take a looksee and nod an acknowledgement, but it was hometime so I didn't hang around. If it was you the car does look good, if not I'll keep looking out for you.
