New and in need of advice!

Hello, just joined. Got a 1982 Golf, currently having the bodywork restored. i was wondering if anybody could give me a hand. the bodywork on the mk1 around the ptrol filler is totally rotten, and we're having a total nightmare trying to but or fabricate this bit!!! any ideas?

Welcome Sam! Think I have a spare outer repair panel for the filler surround if you need one. Check the inner panel carefully too though as rust there soon follows!

lol, i'll have plenty of pics soon (yes, of my golf!).  Found a VW graveyard in Bonnybridge, twas fantastic!! got the bits i was looking for. the inside was hardly there, got that too!! im in the Glasgow area. Ps- Cabriaulait , ive got a roofrack!!

I remember when I used to work around Old St in ECI London, about 3 years ago, always seeing a white cabby with a roof rack parked in the same place every night!!!
