New 1975 owner

afternoon all,quite new to all this,hopefully tomorrow myself and my son will be the proud owners of a mk1 golf that requires quite a bit of work,so I’ll be asking loads of stupid and dull questions over the coming weeks as good advice will be needed,hopefully we’ll get some pictures up when it arrives home,thanks in advance.

Would love to see some pictures if you get the car as that's an early one.

Welcome along to Mk1 ownership and as you have a tin top Mk1 it will probably involve lots of rust..    

  ye your probably right there,not sure what we've taken on,I believe it's registered in jan 1975 ,it was driven in the stable in 1986 and never moved again until I took an air compressor and put some air in all for tyres and even after 35 years the tyres went up and I managed to push it and it moved quite freely with a couple of shoves,unbelievable considering the amount of time it's been there.
