nervous anticipation
Hi folks. Bought myself a GTi cabby when i was down in cambridge last month. Bit of an impulse but hoping it was a good one.
Ive been relegated to push bike for a month as i sold my mazda quicker than expected….I'm in scotland and the Cabby is in cambridge. can't wait to get him up here….though a little nervous about the 350 mile trip :redfaced: I'll be pottering about down in cambridge week after next, then heading back to scotland middle october. if you see us - toot. oh, and if you see us on the hard shoulder - give us a push please
would be good to hear from some like minded ever so slightly nervous newbies to hear of the various trials an tribulations of new ownership.

Welcome to the club
I'm sure your journey will be fine. When I bought mine I had to drive from Southampton back to Sunderland, via Norwich. Similar kind of distance and all was tickedy boo!

Have no fear! Take it steady and if the engine temp starts to rise over half way, pull up, find a local place and have a cup of tea. Take some water and oil in the car and check all lights and levels before you you set off. Let us all no when you have made it back safley! Most of all, enjoy the drive!
