Hi guys, I must say I am impressed with this site.  However I do have a couple of questions.  What exactly is the difference between a cabriolet listed as gti, clipper, karman etc.  Is it just body styling or engine and interior differences too?

Have a look at the buying guide on this site it will explain, basically Karmen did the conversion to a convertible.

GTI = 1.8 injection, later version had big bumper kit as well
Clipper 1.8 Carb with big bumper kit
GLi 1.6 injection
GL 1.6 Carb

I think that pretty accurate, but the guys around here will correct me if I've slipped up

The GLS with 1.5 carb was also available from launch.

If I was looking for a different Cab i would hold out for a GTI the Carb on my clipper has caused me alsorts of problems.

That is actually the only problems I have had with it though!
