Hi Emma, check underbonnet, really close to the windscreen that your drainage channels and gromets arnt blocked. There are some rubber gromet type things underneath there that channel all the rain water away, they can some times get blocked which may force water into cabin, also check door / window seals

thanks rich!
ive just checked. the driver side was slightly clogged, but the passenger side where the problem is was also clogged but also has wiring going though the gromit, so doesnt leave much space for when heavy rain to pour through! is this normal? do i need to get my wiring looked at to run through somewhere else?
thanks

em as i said in pm
it could be a mains wire someone has tried to channel into cabin to feed to boot to supply power to an amplifier, or another wire ….
if there are some suspect gaps which you think you need to fill some silicon could be a good idea as a temporary fix
Hope that helps
