I'm new - Mk1 Gti with pics

Hi everyone, new to this site.

Hopefully picking up this Mk1 later in the week (buying from a friend). It is a campaign model, the car has undergone a full resto (panels and paint) and also has a 1900 tsr engine. The only mod on the car that effects its appearance is the adjustable suspension, oh and it has electric windows  





I also have spent the last two years restoring a 73 type-2 devon back to its original state.

Great looking Mk1, love the Mars red ones.  Ditch the eyebrow spoiler tho.

Yeah, haven't picked the car up yet, so first thing will be to remove the evebrow spoiler - then it needs the decal around the back window, anyone know if these repro ones are any good - someone said trimsport do em?

Trimsport do sell them.  I've heard good things about the quality of ones from http://www.vwturbo.co.uk/  and he's a forum regular too.

The Mk1 looks good and yes that's why we're all here, but that Camper is amazing!!!! 8O

Thanks for the comments everyone, look forward to maybe attending the big annual meet later in the year… Will post some more pics when i get it on thursday / friday.
