How do i find out exactly what iv'e got?

Just wandering how i find this out. A type 1 etc. Is it the chassis number or summit? its an old y reg mk1 gti.

Anyone?

to find out what I'd got i went to the clap clinic. Turns out i dont have anything!  

if you mean what kind of mk1 golf then the tail lights are a good place to start. small ones like these mean its an S1 MK1:



big ones mean its a S2 MK1:

nothing stronger than de-caf coffee, no going out after dark and bath + bed at 7pm. (and if you believe that you'll believe anything!!)
