Hola from Spain

Hi Guys,

When I had a Skoda I used the briskoda forum, I am sure that I will enjoy this one just as much and I hope to able to contribute over time.

I am about to buy a 1988 1.6 GL cabrio with 134,000 kms on the clock here in Madrid, 5 day a week commuting machine taking advantage of the weather and the amazing views on my way to work it recently had a cam belt change, before I part with 3,500 euro anything I should pay particular attention to when I kick the tyres?

That sounds a great car to be commuting in

Rust will be the main thing, as long as it starts and stops ok. Normally we'd suggest that you look for leaks on the hood but I guess that this will not be so much an issue for you in Spain!

The car does not sound cheap, so take your time looking at it.
Don't buy it using your emotion, buy it because it's the right car and good luck!

And I must be the only person who's both English Literature and English Language Teachers both committed Suicide while still trying to teach me!
