Hi Guys Another Newbie

Hi everyone came across this site through watching a build on another forum and cant believe i haven't joined sooner.  Currently own an Mk1 gti 1.8 and had it since 2001. Its been through a lot in its lifetime originally being restored in 96 by John Berry of Bedrock Veedubs before being sold on to the guy I bought it from. He stored it in a shed and forgot about it until it fell into my hands. I bought it as a non runner with burst fuel lines and brought it up to the standard below.




These pics were in 06 but was taken off the road as it got bumped from behind. It was repaired however my enthusiasm was lost and to this day has not been back on the road. After finding this site i have been inspired again. The bakes are all seized but I'm in the processing of replacing them as well as polybushing most of the car and should be back on the road again soon.

Thanks guys I'm located in Ayrshire just west of Glasgow. Hopefully looking to replace the standard engine with a 16v kr and 45's over the next year, get some wheels, a new grille and poss another respray as its starting to show signs of rust again. I would start a project thread but I keep forgetting to take pics of my progress
