Hi all, great site!
Hi fellow MK1 owners
Just read the welcome splash, and think I could well fit in here
I'm a (cough) mature owner (bus pass coming up soon  ) with a MK1 GTi. I bought it brand spanking new in '81, thinking I might keep it for a couple of years - but fell in love with it and, well, here we are, still going strong after 25 years. Might this be a record?
Will post a pic later.

Great to have another original owner here. Do you have any 80's pics of the car you can scan and post up here? (Sporting the latest fashions of course!)
