Hey all! Need somehelp :)

Hi im new to the site, i own a mk1 golf y reg and its my pride and joy its up and running but i would like to re-furbish the interior and some exterior, e.g. window seals, carpiting.  I was wondering if anybody could help me out with ideas and places to buy window seals etc, thankyou and hope to have some replys  

Window seals are still available from VW and the front windows are really easy to fit.  The top half is just thick rubber and pulls off from the metal.  

The bottom section comes a little longer than needed and has a metal strength strip on the inside so a little measuring and hacksawing is needed to fit it properly, especially to get a good fit around the quarterlight divider, but still pretty easy.  The old one will pull up but you have to try to keep the clips attached to the door metal.  There are about three or four small metal clips that fix the door to the bottom edge of the seal and can easily fall off into the door interior meaning you have to take off the door card to get them back.

I think I've made that sound more difficult than it is.  Carpets etc I don't really know about but I think that, from reading other stuff, they are not available from any source at the mo.  Others will know.
