Here we go again

Hi

If all goes well on ebay, I should be rejoining the fold after not having a mk1 for 14 years.

I'm hopefully going to buy my second campaign and one of the only down sides is there is some rust starting in the sun roof well, anybody know if this is a real pain to sort out?

First of all welcome!

I am not talking for experience (thought I would cover my back) but rust round the sunroof area is very difficult to treat.

You may be able to stop the rust spreading any further with some new sealants, but it usually means that there is rust under the metal on the roof, and in extreme cases, a new roof panel can be welded on.  There are replacement metal panels for a sunroof available too.
