Please state how much you want for the parts.

I used to own a mk1 - well I've had 2 actually - YDU 720X & SMU 420Y. Currently I drive an 98 Scotia White Mitsubishi Evolution V RS…. fancy getting another mk1 someday :D

Hi Karl and welcome.

Most parts you list I think will have to be 2nd hand now but no problem, should be able to find them all in good nick. The seats you want will be the white striped ones, not the red stripe (That's assuming you want to keep em standard.) I think tall pete in the forum here had some but not sure if he's sold them yet.

Try here first - keep an eye out on eBay as well but just be careful not to get ripped off as prices can go crazy! 8O

Good luck!

Thanks for that. I agree parts will have to come from a 2nd hand source. I am always keeping an eye out on ebay. You're right though people go mad on what they pay for parts on Ebay. It is addictive though!!

I'll check out the seats too. I was just guessing what seats I needed. I thought the stripey red ones were fitted. They would look nice but I would like to keep it standard. Its not easy finding interior and trim in good nick.

New single headlight grilles with headlamp surrounds are available from GPC and quite cheap too.

The red trim is obsolete though. It will be easier to get a chrome grille, sand, etch primer and paint in Mars Red No 1. Don't pay over the odds for a chrome one though, as although fashionable at the moment they are very common.

Thats a good idea. So I take it they are the same the chrome ones and the normal red borders. Mars red is a bit orange dont you think. Is it not tornado red?

I went to my local scrappy the other day managed to find a mk1 five door. I got the chrome grill light surrounds of it. Would have taken the trim but it was blue :(

So just need the middle piece.  :D

Thanks for the idea.

P.S Whats with the fasion at the mo "chrome grill with cross hairs" ?

Mars Red No 1 is the correct colour. I used a red primer and it looks OK. Tornado Red is a Mk2 & Mk3 colour. Mars Red looks a bit orangey on cars with old paint as it is prone to fading.

Cross-hairs made fashionable by the people that sell them. Next will be Xenon lamps for the Mk1.
