hello
hi, nice site,
after a bit of help, i have a 87' golf citi, im not sure what the parts called but its the part that retains the glass on the front door, its like a metal lip that the glass sits in thats connected to the window winding mechanism. anyhow mines corroded and window keeps falling in 8) has anyone any idea what the parts called or where i could get one from,

If your local VW dealer does not have it try Volkswarenhaus as they list it http://shop.volkswaren…id=ox01938&anid=ox0111210
You could try a scrapyard, but they are usually rusty too…

This was covered on the old site by me when mine did the same. It appears that no other VWs that are easier to find in scrapyards (later Polos etc) use the same part. :cry: VAG UK wanted about ?30 (from memory, how do you access the old forum?) but luckily a spare glass stored in my loft had a good one. I painted it so it won?t rust like the original.
