Hi,

I'd just like to say hello and post a few pics of my '79 series 1 Golf. It was registered in Mar '79. The colour is Lemon Yellow (my favourite) and it has only done 39000 miles. It's still on it's original paint and is completly rust free. It's only got the 1.1 litre engine, which I don't mind as it's only going to be used as a weekend/sunny weather car. I'm going to keep it mostly original as it would be a shame to modify it too much. The only parts I'm going to fit are some Eibach -30mm springs/Boge dampers. I've also picked up some early 5.5 inch GTI steel rims which I will get powder coated and an early VW assessory 3 spoke steering wheel. I'll try and post a couple of pics below. Thanks for the welcome! I was amazed with the condition of the car when I found it. Even the window rubbers are like new! My only plans for it are to lower it slightly and stick my early GTI steels on it with some 185/60 tyres. I'll post some more pics up when I fit these.

Gotta respect that car mate, she's a beauty!
