hello peeps im new to all this and cant wait to get my golf

hello everybody my names mark and i am new to all this golf lark i recantly got hold of a mk1 golf 1.8 8v kjet engine with mot and tax cant wait to get it running as i am having trouble getting it going apparently it was running just before i got it i live in north wales connahs quay so you guys if you no any one in this area that no one or two things about the engine please get in touch i have ordered some injectors as i broke three of them taking them out only wanted to test them(not good lol) hope to come on some meatings once my car is running so look forward to seeing more golfs

Welcome to the MK1 family bud.  Sounds like your problems haven't stopped your enthusiasm which is wicked.  I rebuilt my engine so can point you to that thread if it helps?  Also, get yourself to the Welsh meets before you get timkering… the lads and ladies will probably be able to tell you all you need to know!!!  Really glad you found us and I hope we can help you get running  :mrgreen:

put up a thread in the engine section about your troubles, someone will be able to give you the answer
