Hello from Prowler in Kent

Hi guys (and gals).
This is brilliant. Well done Drew, this has the potential for being THE best site for the Mk1.
We had become rather fed up with the 'other' site, mainly because it seemed to be filled with people who wanted to make their Mk1's into Ferraris or Lambos……..the Mk1 should be kept as it is.

Good to see you Prowler. I've given up on the other forums to devote all my time to this one now.

Have you decided to keep both of them now? As I recall you were thinking of moving overseas?

Cheers,

Drew.

Hi again Drew,
Thanks, wondered where you had got to.
Have decided to keep both cars, (had a couple of offers for the Gti but the guys were not enthusiasts - did not know much about Mk1's so would not sell to them). I have just reinsured the Gti, so that will be staying for at least another year. It was a stupid idea really to even think of selling them, we have decided that we will put up with lack of power steering (I get to drive the Clipper more   , and drive the Gti when my leg/back is ok.
A move overseas may still happen, but that's for the future, it's the legal side and financial implications of it all that really needs looking into.
Regards
H
