hello from newcastle

I've just managed to get my mk1 golf out of a unit where it has sat for a long long time, 2006 maybe, question is , i have it in my head for some reason that it is a golf N ? I can't find the log book as of yet so i'm yet to check and i can't find any info on the web about a golf N model, am i just imagining it, lol..

anyway it's a lemon gelb 3door 1980 series 1, very very basic, just door grab's for inside etc, single clock speedo dash.btw it's a long term resto thing.

Its not much different to the one in your sig,I'll upload a pic after my night shift ends. It was rescued from a farm in Alston, then put under a disused railway siding, where it has suffered.

Welcome to the club, the Golf N certainly exists. If you check out the gallery tab at the top of the page and then look at the original car brochures / hatchbacks - I have found the spec for a 1981 golf N -
