Hello from Italy!

hi everybody!
my name is Fabio i am 32 and i come from Mantova, a small city near Verona (italy). I am not a golf owner but i am in search of a golf cabrio. I found your beatutiful site/forum wich is very interesting, helpful and full of information!
I started searching for a cabrio from the first produced…something about 1980-82 because i usually prefer the classic style (i own others classic cars/motorcycles) that i usually find in 1.100 cc version, but a friend of mine is going to persuade me to search for a 1.600/1.800 injection one, because he says 1.100 version is too slow and consume much petrol then the injection ones…what do you think about that?
the important thing is that the car must be older of 1990, because in italy i can get cheaper insurance and no tax disc for that!
hope i can show you the cars i will found during my search so you should help me with your competence!

sono ancora indeciso sul modello da prendere, preferisco i modelli più vecchi e vedo che spesso sono dei 1100 come il tuo, un mio amico che possiede una golf cabrio 1800 mi consiglia la motorizzazione 1600 o 1800 iniezione….tu cosa mi dici del tuo 1100?
sarei intenzionato ad andare a vedere questa che è un 1600 a carburatori (anche se a me risultava che il 1600 fosse solo a iniezione), non vorrei però consumi troppo elevati..

Beh si il 1600 ciuccia ma il mezzo che hai visto mi sembra in buono stato, buono anche il prezzo. Il colore è originale?

il colore sembrerebbe il cedar green e anche l'interno è il suo abbinato, dice che la macchina è in ottime condizioni, l'unica cosa la capotte che essendo la sua originale è un pò rovinata…
poi ci sarebbe la targa mantova di prima immatricolazione che per me è un piccolo valore aggiunto
l'unica cosa è che la macchina in estate la vorrei usare abbastanza e io non sono mai stato un amante delle macchine dai consumi troppo elevati…
