Cheers crazyquiff for the remarks, it is an 1982 alright, it used to be an english car (FYA 913 Y). It handles very well on the track as it has all it needs to, to keep it stuck there

Cheers mate, I like the colour alot, not too many around.
Although I would love a diamond silver or mars red Mk1 with red grille surrond, all the original stuff, even a set of 13"s aswell

I picked up a mars red 1.8 GTi original and standard daily driver with full service history on Thursday. I will get some pics up tomorrow.

Look forward to it! Was it as good as you were hoping for - i recall it looked like a good buy.

Out of interest, on your 'green monster!' why you use 16V gearbox - is it purely a ratio thing??

It is'nt a concours car, which I'm looking for, but it will fill the gap for now as it is original looking and is untouched, I will move it on very easily.
The gearbox was like that when I got the green fella :dontknow:
