hello all. on the look out..

hi guys. was over in golfgti.co.uk and was told this site would help me out so heres hoping. basically im on the look out for a tidy mk1 (isnt everyone lol) but this would be my first vw. was very close to buying a mk2 a while back but since then iv had a change of heart. im only 21 so insurance might be a nightmare so ideally a 1.1/1.3/1.5 is what im after. also im located over in northern ireland and to say theres not many floating about would be an understatement. so i guess im chancing it but does anyone know of anything available over here or anything that i can view (with a strong intention of buying) thats a ferry ride away?

thanks for the warm welcomes folks! yeah iv been on the lookout over here for the past few months. nothing yet. i dont mind getting one over on the mainland but id have to travel with an intention of buying to make it worthwhille

Welcome to the site mate. I think you may have to travel mate but believe me it's worth it. I'm in London and traveled to the Scottish boarders to get mine.
