Greetings

Hello, I've just got my first Mk1 Golf GTI.  I almost bought one about 20 years ago but I chickened out because I didn't know anything about cars.  I've been lusting after one ever since, so you can imagine I'm pretty pleased at the moment.
The one I have now is very similar - it's an all white convertible, though I don't know if it's an All White edition.  It has the small bumpers but the interior of a Quartett.  It's an E reg (registered December 1987).  It didn't come with any history at all, so it's proving extremely difficult to find out exactly what it is I've got.  To make matters more complicated, it doesn't have its original wheels (it's currently sporting Estorils) and I'm planning to change them in the near future - but what to?  Tarantulas or Snowflakes?
It needs a few bits and bobs seeing to but overall it's in great condition and runs very well.
The Golf joins a large family of vehicles that my fiance and I own.  He has a 1963 Mini; I have a 1989 Mini cabriolet (which is in the midst of a John Cooper conversion - I've stripped the engine ready for a rebuild and it will be a 1400 Cooper S by the spring); and between us we have a 1972 VW campervan, as well as an everyday runaround.
It's great to be in the club.
Kim.

I'll have to learn how to post pictures first, and take a few too.
I bought a new interior yesterday as mine is a bit grubby and has a few wear marks.
