Hello all, just saying hi, i have a massive soft spot for the mk1 golf GTI so thought id join up to keep tabs, currently not owning one but having owned a couple in the past i still take a keen interest, i currently have 2 mk1 Astra GTE's (AAAgghh) i hear you moan, my 2 favourite cars, mk1 astra'a and golf, just cant beat these retro classics, anyway i hope soon to get back to ownership so will be keeping an eye out,

lol ok mate, everyone has bad experiences with all sorts of cars?, but i like to think the mk1 astra's and golf's are both Jedi Knights in my book.

Many many years ago, when I didn't know anything  ops: I too had an astra CDI Auto…it was a nice/fast car……then I woke up!!!!!

MK1 Astra GTE's - Classic car, another car that would join my garage if only I had enough space  

I remember my unckle getting stopped by the police in his Mk1 Astra for having all four wheels off the ground.  Welcome to the board!  You need to get one of then 2.0 16v Calibra Turbo engines into one of your Astras!!

Welcome. I was talkin to mate about mk1 astra's and we both said that we haven't seen any for years. So you have two then what colour are they and when are you selling them so you can join the club properly?

Thanks chaps for your kind words, well sort off???, i defo would not sell them mate but i might be adding a golf to them?
They are both white, one mint, one not so. and as for the Turbo engine, mmm yes that is a future plan or at least a valver.
And astra CDi's or wotever it was? do me a favour!!!,
Anyway im not here to chat about astra's or provoke argument, etc, as its the golf i am here for, hope this is ok.. 8O
