Thought it was a faulty fuel gauge at first. It broke down the first day I bought it so wasn't sure what the real cause was.
After reading many threads and things online I realised it's down the the original Pierburg carb.
Anyway… splashed out on a Weber and fitted it the other day.
Going to get it setup properly at a local old skool garage but at least I managed to get it started without any hastle.
Q. Can I fit the original air filter?

Fitted a new carb... and it starts!
In the kit there should be a bracket that bolts to the carb.
The airbox then bolts to that.
