Facebook Integration

Hi,

I have had a number of users cause themselves to create a second user on the forum when attempting this.

The reason is that you must be logged on to the forum BEFORE you attempt to connect it with Facebook.

The facility to to do it before you log on is for if you do not already have a forum account and would like to generate it from you facebook details.

PT me if you make this mistake and I can merge the two accounts for you.

hi again,i am now unable to log in as sheepwagon my first account :-((((((( could younplease delete this ian hamonda account??i use an i pad and when i log in it always uses browser to log into facebook rather than the app causing for some reason to log into my old fbook account

Have you removed, the app from within your facebook account?
If not remove this by going to facebook (cog symbol, account settings, apps, and then edit and remove the vwgolf1 app from there.)
This will stop the automatic login on this site with facebook.
Once you have done this, try and login as normal under your previous account

I seem to be lost within the main site / FB transition with my log in details as you mentioned above.

My bad for using the FB version over this. Apologies and promises to be on here more instead of relying on the ease of the FB page!

Hi,

I signed in on a new account using Facebook.
Trouble is, Facebook isn't available at work so I can't log in that way.
When I try logging in with my user name and password, I get an authorisation error.

Any ideas?

You have to have access to FB to login if you turn the integration on.




To turn it off logout out, it may take two or three attempts as FB aggressively tries to log back in. Them click more under the login button. Then click forgot password and go through the password reset process.




I would also login to FB on a desktop/laptop and disconnect the mk1golfoc app from Facebook, this will stop you accidentally connecting it up again from our site.

Thanks for responding. The problem is that I never actually receive the email, so I can't progress any further!

Think i have the same problem some how i can not log in as Style……. If it possible please remove this account.
So i can use the first one "Style"

I have merged your two accounts.
Style is the only one left.
Try logging in now

No big deal used the FB link up for this new account

Hello I'm new to this forum and I'm not sure how to make a post!
