been looking for a mk1 for ages and have just picked myself up a 1983 tin top gti body is straight as a nail but mechanicaly its in a sorry state.

plans are a 16v kr conversion on bike carbs picked the engine up at mates rates will try and get abit of a build thread going when i get cracking

welcome to the site, got a 1983 tintop valver myself, you'll need to get some pics up

well straight as a nail is good but maybe exagerating a little its solid in all the right places though sills wings boot etc.
