It's pretty sad really but I don't think it's just the site. I've returned to sell my car. I (like many) have no disposabe income and it sucks.
As a renter its almost impossibe to find storage for a project or tools- especially as I have to change location for work.

Ooh thats a bit harsh… as there's lots of good people out there.

Yes, we all have our problems! but THIS Forum is invaluable and helps so much to keep me involved with the club and the cars, and happy.

Marcus.

Think most of the traffic moved to FB, which has its advantages but also disadvantages, the main one for me being its not classified

1987 Alpine White 1.8 Clipper Cabriolet

The trouble with doing nothing is that you never know when you are finished.

Its not no one cares its just that theres a fair few people whom spoil the party.  Bad mouthing, picking faults, then the ones that really get me are searching for parts then buying, then selling for mark ups, when they ask for discounts( then make up stories like seats been sat in loft for years)   I too try to buy stuff and then if i cant use it i try to cover costs, + a few lottery tickets.  Forums keep the info better, and can be searched, the FB pages are short term and a lot of begging for help,.

I haven't been active on the site for some years now due to life and circumstance but stepping back in recently. I think a lot changed in the past years due to other forums becoming more popular but in the end thanks to the club we have a point of reference where we can come back home. It will be good to see some more activity though, so maybe if we post once in a while we can keep things active

satans_creation - as the team running the club we are more than aware that traffic on the forum has dropped off significantly.

We've tried so much to drive people back to it but Facebook has become the easy got to for people wanting answers.

The old days of 'knowing' everybody online are long gone. Folk buy and sell their cars on a daily basis by the sounds of the questions!!
"I've just got this car and it's got this problem"
I'd put a month's wages on it that they wouldn't be the first experience the issue.

USE THE SEARCH FACILITY as Kenneth Cartwright says!! 🤣

I'm on here a few times a week, sometimes I can help out.
Do miss the build threads though (really should update mine).
FB jsut isn't the same when trying to help folk out.

My rebuild thread I will try and keep up to date: here

Just renewed my membership as life sometimes just gets in the way.
Great to see some of the old names popping up been a long time since we've met up at shows etc.
Hopefully the Clipper should be back on the road mot dependant this weekend 🤞
This club was invaluable when I got a MK1 back in 2005
and is my must go to as the answer is there somewhere   in the forums.

Noticed you have a  mk1 playlist on your signature  I'll have to look 👀
I've still got an unknown cassette jammed in the original Panasonic player in the clipper (some woman's singing)
But it's on my to do list.
