Better late than never!

Hi Everybody :-)

Not exactly new, as I joined about 18 months ago, but never really got around to introducing myself.

I signed up here when I was looking at buying a Mk1 Golf, and bought Rajan/dubboy's metallic blue Series 1 GLS (HLY ***V, now AKA 'Holloway') that he had advertised at the time.

I have done very little to it - it's been serviced a couple of times, and last year's MOT consisted of bodywork (sills, which I was already aware of) and one jubilee clip!  Oh, and it had a new fuel tank last year, which is both lighter (plastic) and bigger :-)

I use it every day for work (20 mile round trip from Sheffield to Chesterfield and back) and occasional weekend trips to visit friends and family.

The only problems I really have at the moment are (as far as I know) carb and cylinder head related, but I'll bring them up in the relevant fora :-)
