HI All,
Im not new to the dub scene. Ive previously had 1 mk1, 2 mk2's 2 mk3's and a mk5 R32.
i currently have a vw T4 running on 20" Bentley rims.
Im having a look on here as its time for another mk1 and since it was 15 years ago since the last one i thought i would see what to look out for.
Looks like a cool site.

What model Mk1 did you used to have 15 years ago? And more imortantly what model are you after now? A gti? There's a buyers guide on the Homepage highlighting areas to look at when viewing Mk1's. As you've owned one before you'll know what you're doing. Good luck in your search, have a look in our For Sale section and the other usual sites like Pistonheads and you should have a few possibles lined up in no time. :mrgreen:

Settling In
Well ive ended up buying a 1988 gti cabrio. It was cheap has a few issues but its fairly solid which is good. Gives me something to do, a nice little project.
trouble is my girlfriend is also nuts about MK1 golfs so we are now arguing about whos it is.
So the only plan we could think of was get a tin top aswell so we have one each
Im sure i will be asking loads of questions in the coming months.
