Hi im new to mk1 ownership.
picked an 82 1.1 in i think pagras bluee? perhaps someone can clarify that
it definitely need new rear quarters and valance one front wing and maybe outer sills and door skins depending how deep the rust is once i have sanded the worst back.
I have no welding or mechanical experience so its going to be a steep learning curve!!
the strip down begins today so i will start a build thread too. heres a couple of pics
and one of my old mk2 now sold

Thanks for the comments. Location now added, I'm in worcester.
I loved the mk2 but it rarely got used so we sold it and the wifes daily toyota and bought a mk4 gt tdi!! (yes She is now a confirmed convert)
Looking forward to getting the mk1 on the road. I have started a build thread. Cant decide at the mo wether just to get it road worthy lower it a little on some nice rims and enjoy it or go for a full rebuild. Pennies are tight just now so it might be the first option and do the bigger jobs as and when finances allow.
