hey i have just found this site i have recently bought a mk1 and am restoring it its in orange (not mars red) its not an original colour it was in blue originally but im happy with it will post some pics up soon

Hello and welcome to the club. Is that dukes of hazard orange your planning ? 8) VW did do mk1s in 'mandarin orange' in the late 70's. Here's is a link to all the mk1 paint colours - mandarin orange was used from 1979
