Accidental New VW Owner.......
Just thought that i would say hiya, accidently bought a Mk1 Golf Gti Karmann Cab on ebay from preston and drove it 330 miles home. Glad i did it now but i will say, you do miss the luxury of a modern car, but the modern car doesnt put that big a smile on your face and doesnt get noticed as much were this car does……. Its quality.

Congratulations, that looks like a very neat and tidy cab! After a little while you won't even miss the luxuries of a modern car, simplicity wins the day…there's less to go wrong! Hope you enjoy many happy miles together.

also you can change the oil without having a laptop, put new pads on without having to disconnect battery and change a main beam bulb without haing to take the bumper off or remove the wheel arch liner.
so one or two advantages to offset the negatives.
