16V from Australia
Hi there,
My name is Michael and I am in Sydney NSW.
I have purchased a converted MK1 to 1.8 KR 16V Digifant II recently and am going about the hard yards of working out much of the previous owners handiwork - tidying things up and getting it into a state that I am satisfied with.
I hope to learn a bit from you crazy UK cats who have far more similar conversions!
Right now I need help with my fueling, so I am off to post in the right section.
Pics for clicks!

Thanks for the welcome guys.
We happened to get 3 x 16V MK1 in the one place the other day for the first time. I believe that I am the only 5 door with the conversion.
There are a few various 16V conversions around, some 1.8 others 2.0, probably less than 10 however to my knowledge as finding 16V engines here is hard as they were only in personal imports from the UK in the MK2 GTI.
I have a bit more fiddling to do but once I have I will make sure I put some more comprehensive pics up. I am just sorting out heater control panel problems, want to get a new south gauge cluster for the centre console and then on to some leaks around the tail lamps
Other mods to my MK1 include Subaru leather seats and a MK2 dash conversion.
I have really enjoyed browsing this site for information.

The cars were at a track day and they happened to end up close to that configuration with a bit of adjustment came a good shot.
The interior pics I have are from a previous owner, 2 or so years ago, it needs to be tidied up a bit as it is still a bit dirty in places.
The wheels are Lenso Dash, 15x6.5 ET40. They sit fine, unless the car is lowered any more as the guards are not rolled.
Maybe I should cross post in the 'rides' section.
