Hi everyone;
I’m from South Africa and have a 2006 VW Golf MK1 (New Dash) 1.4 Carburetor.
Not sure if you guys are familiar with the Golf / Citi Golf history in South Africa but basically South Africans loved the MK1 design so much they continued the shape with minor changes over the years to make it more modern. Last production was in 2009 I think.
I’m considering getting a slightly better carburetor for small performance improvements and reliability. Any recommendations?

I think you maybe better off asking on the South African VW forums as that's where all the expertise will be.
That said I recently put a Weber on my car and am very happy with it. Might be worth talking to a local Weber supplier for recommendations.
